Pokemon Firered/Leafgreen Versions Review

Pokemon is back with a Gen I Remake. What updates will be revealed? Does the player have what it takes to become a Pokemon Master?

Story: The player starts off trying to enter the grass and got stopped by Professor Oak. Professor Oak gives the player and his grandson Blue a starter Pokemon for protection against wild Pokemon. Professor Oak gives both the player and Blue a Pokedex to help him fulfill his dream of completing the Pokedex. The player must go to Pokemon gyms to collect all 8 gym badges to enter the Indigo Plateau Pokemon League and defeat the Elite Four to become the Pokemon Master.

Gameplay: Like usual, the player experience single battles but with updated graphics, colorful Pokemon, cool battle effects, and Pokemon's avatars that actually looks like the real Pokemon in your party . Now, the player can also do double battles with two trainers just like Gen III games. Later, if the player defeat the Elite Four. The player receives a National Pokedex an upgrade to the original Pokedex received from Professor Oak. With that, the player can now find wild Pokemon from Johto to catch. Well, you know what they say "Gotta catch 'em all".

Music: The music have a remix to all Pokemon music you know and love from Pokemon Red, Blue, and Yellow versions. With some changes, you wouldn't mind listening to it but don't carry that old school music.

Controls: The controls feels great! It's simple to use for making the character walk, run, and ride a bicycle to get to places. Pressing the select button to move items in your Bag and set for using a Key Item is useful and fantastic.

Graphics: The graphics is 3D wonderful with 32-bit improved graphics. The sea is amazing. The Pokemon and trainers looks unique and ready to fit in battle.

Rating: 9/10
